Data controller

The data controller is Side Mekanik Metal San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. This notice covers our corporate website, quotation request form and related communications.

Data and collection methods

Contact and quotation processes may involve name, company/role and contact details such as email, phone and country; request description, selected product/category, material, quantity, target date and information in submitted technical files. Forms, upload fields, email and telephone are direct collection channels. Email/phone links on the contact page do not constitute a separate web form. IP, browser/device and connection information may also be collected electronically for site security. Do not send unnecessary personal data or special categories of personal data.

Purposes and legal grounds

Quotation preparation and business relationships: Article 5(2)(c) of Turkish Law No. 6698 where the individual is a contracting party and processing directly concerns establishing or performing that contract. Request/project communications with corporate representatives/employees: Necessary legitimate interests in conducting the business relationship without prejudicing fundamental rights and freedoms, Article 5(2)(f). Site security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention: Necessary information-security interests subject to the same rights balancing, Article 5(2)(f). Specific legal claims and necessary records: Establishment, exercise or protection of a right, Article 5(2)(e). Statutory record/reporting obligations: Article 5(2)(ç), only to the extent necessary for the relevant obligation. The notice acknowledgement checkbox is not consent for marketing or blanket data transfers.

Recipients and transfers

Data may be shared with authorised company personnel and quotation recipients acting for the company as needed for assessment/communication; and with IT infrastructure, data hosting, information security and email service providers to deliver and protect the service. Competent public/judicial authorities may receive data where legally required. Smaller technical files may be email attachments; others may be shared through expiring links. These services' overseas infrastructure may involve processing outside Türkiye or access from abroad.

Retention

Retention is assessed against the needs of the request/business relationship, applicable legal obligations and specific legal claims. Quotation history alone does not justify indefinite retention of personal data. When processing grounds cease, applicable law requires erasure, destruction or anonymisation. There is no automatic deletion system covering all data.

Your rights and requests

Article 11 rights include learning whether data is processed, obtaining information, learning purposes and whether use matches them, identifying domestic/overseas recipients, requesting correction and, where conditions apply, erasure/destruction and notification to recipients, objecting to adverse outcomes based solely on automated analysis and claiming compensation for unlawful processing. Send a written request to the registered address above or contact info@sidemekanik.com.tr using the methods and identity-verification conditions in the Turkish Communiqué on Applications to the Data Controller. Valid requests are resolved within 30 days.
